Activation of Data Roaming on Alfa and Touch Networks

As part of the plan developed by Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hajj to enhance service quality and expand mobile network coverage, Alfa and Touch have activated Data National Roaming. This service currently includes 110 stations, distributed between 34 Alfa stations and 76 Touch stations, in areas where voice roaming is already available.

The new service is automatically activated for subscribers of both networks if internet service is unavailable on one network and available on the other, at no additional cost. Subscribers must activate the data roaming feature on their mobile devices to benefit from it.

It is worth noting that in the last three months, approximately 93,000 Touch subscribers have benefited from voice roaming on the Alfa network, and approximately 58,000 Alfa subscribers have benefited from the same service on the Touch network, indicating the importance of data roaming for subscribers. The geographical distribution of local data roaming services includes the following areas:

  • North Governorate: Akkar, Batroun, Koura, Miniyeh-Danniyeh, and Zgharta.
  • Mount Lebanon Governorate: Aley, Baabda, Chouf, Jbeil, Keserwan, and Metn.
  • Beqaa Governorate: Baalbek, Hermel, Rashaya, West Beqaa, and Zahle.
  • South Governorate: Sidon, Tyre, and Jezzine.
  • Nabatieh Governorate: Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, Hasbaya, and Marjeyoun.
